Halfway through domestic duties when JJ offered a lift to Draycote hoping for a view of the Black Redstart but no sign of it as we searched with Bob Duckhouse. Yellow Wagtail 10 on farborough bank dodging the mowers, Sand Martin 400+ came down when a hail storm hit us, Buzzard 4, Sparrowhawk, Teal 6, and a lot more singing Blackcaps on site with with at least 6 heard between country park and toft and having coffee afterwards with Mike who had walked all the way round, he had at least another six on the west side and the hybrid tufted duck. Two Common Tern out in centre.
My patch list for the year now stands on 153 species + 2 sub-species with my Draycote list on 129 + 2 sub-species.
