Spent 90 minutes on Dunsmore ridge looking for migrants going over and managed Ring Ousel heading south west among a thrush flock. Total count was 54 Fieldfare, 764 Redwing, 145 Skylark and 7 Siskin. Barred Sallow in my garden trap by Bob Hazell
I started birding at Draycote water, Warwickshire in 1976 and have been lucky enough to see over 240 species in that period from over 6000 visits building up a good reputation for persitant patch work. Majority of other sites visited are less than ten miles from my home in Rugby and all bikeable.
